Nicki Minaj: Alter Egos

Living through the hard life she had as a child, Onika Miraj created several alter egos to live her childhood through since her dad was distant. For doing so, a lot of people think she is kind of crazy, which she slightly is, but that's also what helped her become famous seeing as how Nicki Minaj is her third alter ego.

Roman Zolanski is her twin brother who is 'out of the closet', and is more of an aggressive and determined kind of person.

"Roman allows Minaj to tap into the fire-breathing, giddily nihilistic spirit that drew so many rap heads to her mixtapes, such as Beam Me Up, Scotty, as well as her guest appearances on others' tracks'' (Marc Hogan).

Roman is featured in songs called Romans Revenge and also Roman in Moscow. Roman is known to help Nicki create intense rap songs that has a powerful sense of intimidation.

Onika...or Nicki, has an opposite ego of Roman who's name is Harajuku Barbie. This alter ego has the high pitch, almost whiney kind of voice and is featured in songs such as Bedrock with Lil Wayne and Your Love. Nicki was going to go with Harajuku Barbie from the gecko, but decided to stay with Nicki Minaj as her main ego.

Onika has one last alter ego and her name is Martha and she is Romans mother, accompanied by a fake British accent. Martha Zolanski is featured in the song Moment for life featuring Drake. She is also heard at the very end of Romans Revenge.

For Onika having many alter egos that she created, I think personally she is a very unique character and kind of crazy, but that's what makes her special in some people's eyes. Onika also introduced the ego Point Dexter on her skit in the comedy SNL. There's a total of 15 alter egos for Onika Miraj because of her parents isolation towards her and all of the fighting see had to witness, so sadly enough, just like any child left alone, she made 'imaginary friends'.
